Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking to hire an exceptional Central CAD Director to join our team. Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safe.
 
We are looking for innovative people and technical leader to lead the global CAD team. This role will have profound impact to lay out the bring the energies and ideas to form the organization drive synergy and be the trusted advisor to the stakeholders.  

Responsibilities

• Lead a global CAD team to step up the foundation such as customization/automation of design flow steps for ease-of-use, organizing design, providing technical support to design/layout engineers and further integration activities 
• Enhanced infrastructure implementation process standards such as IBM LSF, EDA license monitoring & management, version control, etc. 

• Enable cross-disciplinary critical projects on a shared resources network environment to elevate productivity and efficiency of engineering team 
• Partnership with BUs & Procurement tea to reshape long-term EDA strategy and optimized tool flow, to enable business strategies aligned to business priorities as well as to managed EDA vendor relationships 
• Improve the license tracking/management to improve utilization/efficiency with continuous efforts of optimization 
• Spearhead server/storage/license resource budget forecasting, capacity planning, allocation distribution, equipment benchmarking, and vendor qualification 
• Lead the global initiatives of design flow and methodology streamlining and improve the service level to engineering communities 

• Play an active role in implementing process improvements and strategic initiatives 
• Evaluate the new phase engineering infrastructure for global design org for future scalability and growth along with that appropriate storage, automation, design infrastructure, flows, tools, continuous integration, and development methodology 

Qualifications

• At least 20 years experiences of CAD management, design methodology 

• Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Engineering or similar field of study 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group internally and externally 
• A strong interest in team engagement and willingness to engage complex problem solving

Rambus offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, bonus, equity, matching 401(k), employee stock purchase plan, comprehensive medical and dental benefits, time-off program, and gym membership. The US salary range for this full-time position is $208,600 to $282,200. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location.  The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions.
