Student/Intern

Boxtelseweg 26, Vught, Netherlands
Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking to hire an exceptional Intern to join our Team team in Vught, The Netherlands. Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safer.
As a Intern, the candidate will be reporting to Sr. Manager Technical Support and is a Full Time position. Modern computing architectures rely on off-chip memory components for their needs (e.g., storing applications, private user-data etc.). This reliance keeps on increasing with the increasing requirements on off-chip memory capacity and components. To enable efficient usage of these off-chip memories for various applications, memory protection is a key component for a trusted computing architecture. However, the memory performance is already a system bottleneck with respect to throughput and latencies. Therefore, memory protection needs to be done in a very efficient and transparent way, using optimal cryptographic primitives.
Responsibilities
1. Study of RTL IP and develop IP model (e.g. cycle accurate IP model) for architectural exploration
2. Architectural exploration by modelling other SoC models (simple AXI masters with option to program the Commnads)
3. Integration of above to simulate the SoC and design for following problems:
- Access granularity mismatch
- Designing Read-modify-write submodule
- Context aware Encryption/Decryption
- Scalable Authentication
- Timeout mechanisms design
Qualifications
Requirements/Qualifications:
- BSc graduation level
- System modelling, SoC hardware architecture, memory subsystem, inline memory encryption, authentication tree.
