Digital Design (IC) Engineer, SerDes - Canada #20748
Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking to hire an exceptional Digital Design (IC) Engineer, SerDes to join our interface IP team in Toronto. Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safer.
As a Digital Design (IC) Engineer, the candidate will be reporting to digital engineering director and is a Full-Time position. The team is working on the next generation multi-protocol SerDes Phy IP. The digital design engineer will have full ownership over IP subsystem design and / or integration and will be expected to interact extensively with verification, physical design, analog and system engineers in the team.
Location: in office Toronto, Canada preferred; other Canada location options available.
Responsibilities
- Architecture and design specification for high-speed digital blocks implementing signal processing algorithms, analog calibration and IP flow control.
- RTL Implementation and verification of the block.
- Compose test plan and working on coverage closure with verification team.
- Interact with back-end design teams on STA constraints, Synthesis, ATPG and PnR.
- Define and debug DFT structures in the designs.
- Interface with customers on design integration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree in EE/CS/related discipline.
- Proven industry experience in digital circuit design.
- Experience in high-speed DSP & mixed-signal design, DFT design methodologies is an asset.
- Experience with TCL, Perl, C, Python, MATLAB, or other scripting languages is desired.
- Hand-on experience with Synopsys/Cadence/Mentor tools and environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills along with attention to details.
- Time Management skill, good communication and documentation skills.
