From our foundation in memory and interfaces, we leverage our history of high-speed circuit design leadership to create high-performance, low-power memory and serial link interface chips and IP cores to meet the needs of increasingly complex Data Center requirements.

Description: Candidate will work with our development teams and the customer to ensure successful deployment of our high-speed interface IP.

Responsibilities

 

  • Senior integrated circuit designer with at least three years of previous work experience
  • Design circuits using mathematical equations, and code your own system models to support your design
  • Will work on analog circuit design for next generation IP and products in the latest CMOS FinFET technologies.
  • Work with communications concepts of feed-forward equalization, decision-feedback equalization, linear equalization, and clock and data recovery.
  • Review analog schematics to help customer debug issues with implementation of the PHY IP in their design.
  • Review data from customers against documented IP design targets and electrical interface standards, including IEEE Ethernet, OIF-CEI, and PCIe.
  • Work in the lab with test boards or customer hardware, and electrical test

Qualifications

 

  • Work experience designing CMOS integrated circuits
  • Work experience with, communications theory, including the concepts of frequency domain modeled in the Z-domain or S-domain, convolution, and auto-correlation.
  • Post-secondary degree in electrical engineering with specialization in integrated circuit design. Has preferably completed a tape-out of an integrated circuit as part of a graduate project, and published the results.
  • Post-secondary course and knowledge, or work experience with microwave engineering including s-parameters.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical interface standards such as IEEE Ethernet, OIF-CEI, and PCIe is an asset.
  • Experience with electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, network analyzers, or power supplies is an asset.
  • Silicon debug and troubleshooting skills are highly desirable. 
  • High degree of self-motivation and personal responsibility. 
  • Have the ability to work well within a team environment.
