Overview:

Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking to hire an exceptional engineer physical design to join our IP Cores  team in Bangalore. Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safer.As a Lead physical design engineer the candidate will have a higher exposure to the management and he/she will be part of major technical decision making. The role gives an opportunity to work on high speed designs in the range of 3.5Ghz. The design requires out of box thinking to meet tighter PPA.

Responsibilities

• In-depth, hands-on understanding of the physical design flow to tapeout including all aspects of Floorplanning, Synthesis, Placement, Clock Tree implementation, Routing, Static Timing Analysis and signOff checks like, Logic Equivalence, Physical Verification & Reliability.
• Understand of chip level tasks and challenges.
• Experience with analog IP and other 3rd party IP integration.
• Implement/Support blocks with multi-voltage designs.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl/TCL.
• Diligent, detail-oriented, and should be able handle delegation of assignments efficiently.
• Mentor junior engineers
• Feedback to flow development team and automation implementation.
• Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
• Candidate should have exposure to current nanometer CMOS process technologies, design methodology challenges and configuration/data management.
• Responsible for projecting progress next level of management.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated team player with strong organizational skills.
• 6+ years of experience in Physical Design & exposure to leading team members
