Sr Dir Product Marketing

Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking to hire an exceptional Sr Dir Product Marketing to join our Memory Interface Chip BU team in San Jose. Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safer.

 

As a Sr Dir Product Marketing, the candidate will be reporting to the VP Product Marketing and is a Full Time position. Hiring Manager to add brief overview of the position, what the department does and what makes this position exciting.

 

Rambus offers a flexible work environment, embracing a hybrid approach for the majority of our office-based roles. We encourage employees to spend an average of at least three days per week working onsite, allowing for two days of remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the growing PMIC product line with current focus on server and client memory power-delivery solutions  
  • Develop approaches, strategies, and action plans to grow design-in’s and market share of existing product line with buy-in from sales team 
  • Work hand-in-hand with sales to manage customers, datacenter and OEM accounts 
  • Visit direct and indirect customers and forge collaborations and partnerships 
  • Define marketing requirements (in MRD) for new areas we wish to enter 
  • Identify, understand, and communicate the key differentiating features and performance criteria for best-in-class product 
  • Define products that meet these market requirements, solicit feedback from customers to refine, fully document requirements in PRD, and launch into NPI process 
  • Work with industry ecosystem and applicable standard bodies so customers are positioned to adopt solutions 
  • Develop team to fulfill product management role for new products launched in NPI process and own market models, financial forecasts, competitive landscape, market segmentation, pricing strategy, alpha customer launches, and market-driven schedules.   
  • Work tightly with operations to ensure timely delivery of samples, qualification units, reports, and all other items needed to get into high-volume production 
  • Monitor industry dynamics, competition, and customer trends to develop short-term and long-term product forecasts to help manage optimal supply of products 

Qualifications

  • You must possess a minimum of a Bachelor in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Physics with more than fifteen years of experience in the semiconductor industry with focus on PMICs and mixed-signal products for servers and/or memory. 
  • At least 8 years of that experience must be in product management and successfully bringing products to the marketplace and driving revenue growth. 
  • Must have a strong background in PMIC products, especially with respect to the memory and storage subsystems. Direct experience with the server memory DIMMs ecosystem is highly desired. 
  • Track record of growing product revenue and expanding market share of product lines through effective go-to-market plans and creative product marketing. 
  • Track record of developing and guiding a team of product managers, setting roles and responsibilities, and delegating to maintain a broad and diverse product line. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with international customers and suppliers especially ones in Korea and Southeast Asia.  Must be able and willing to travel internationally. 
  • Hands-on experience in soliciting customer needs and synthesizing feedback, understanding market requirements and capturing in Marketing Requirements Documents, defining products meeting the market needs and defining the specific product requirements in PRD, working seamlessly with the engineering organization, taking the product to market and capturing significant market share. 
  • Excellent listening, oral and written communication/presentation skills with strong ability to influence people at all levels and in various functions.  
  • Strong awareness of technology trends and their potential influence on Rambus’ business.  
  • Strong negotiation skills

Rambus offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, bonus, equity, matching 401(k), employee stock purchase plan, comprehensive medical and dental benefits, time-off program, and gym membership.

 

The US salary range for this full-time position is $199,800.00 to $371,000.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions.
