Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking to hire an exceptional Senior Embedded Hardware Support Engineer to join our Security team in Vught, Netherlands. Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safer.
As a Senior Embedded Hardware Support Engineer, the candidate will be reporting to the Senior Technical Support Manager and is a Full Time position. Candidates noted as having a strong affection with embedded hardware development and its development tools are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Deliver efficient and effective technical support to our customers world-wide, responding in a swift and accurate way, performing independent case research with the embedded hardware domain
- Responsible for managing and tracking individual cases, monitoring progress, informing customers, etc.
- Work closely with R&D team, distributing customer feedback and highlighting improvement topics
- Create and release maintenance updates
- Perform IP Release inspection of all product deliverables before customer shipment
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in the security or chip industry in engineering or technical support positions at R&D centers or system laboratories
- In depth knowledge of hardware description languages (Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog), scripting languages and SoC, Silicon IP and/or FPGA design/verification flows
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal as well as written (English, preferably also Dutch)
- Ability to communicate with colleagues that think and communicate in another domain (Silicon IP, management, business, sales)
- Ability to work closely with geographically dispersed customer teams
- Team working skills in international environment
- Self-motivation, hands-on approach on all activities
- Practical knowledge of embedded hardware
- Advantage: Practical knowledge of cryptography, security protocols and security implementations
- Advantage: Practical knowledge of embedded software
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor or Masters’ degree in Hardware Engineering, Computing Science or comparable level
