We partner with semiconductor manufacturers, OEM device makers, and cloud service providers to create highly advanced silicon in vertical markets that include Aerospace & Defense, AI/ML, Networking, Compute, and 5G Infrastructure.

 

What You Will Do To Help Us…

We are seeking a Senior Sales Manager in the Eastern US to support our growth in the Aerospace and Defense market.

 

You will combine your deep experience in the A&D market, knowledge of Rambus’ security and interface product portfolio, and passion for success to build our A&D business. In addition to working closely with customers, you will partner with cross functional teams including FAEs, Product Groups, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Legal.

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility is to identify, qualify and close new business opportunities across the Aerospace and Defense ecosystem. This includes working with Government agencies, prime contractors and the broader set of relevant companies. Supporting responsibilities include:

    • Develop and execute account sales strategies, in conjunction with Product Marketing and Business Development teams.
    • Help drive Rambus’ overall business strategy for the A&D market, leveraging your deep understanding of the A&D ecosystem.
    • Develop and nurture long term relationships with key customer stakeholders, from executives to key individual contributors.
    • Help the company understand key market and customers’ business and technical requirements, to ensure Rambus’ solutions and roadmaps are best positioned to enable customer success.
    • Meet financial targets at those accounts for which you are responsible.
    • Prepare technical responses to customer RFIs and RFQs; drive internal technical/business alignment.
    • Travel as required to support development of Rambus business, at customers, conferences etc. (30% travel expected).

Qualifications

  • Current or recent government clearance (preferred - must be a US citizen).
  • 7+ years of demonstrated success in business development and/or selling complex IP solutions in the Aerospace and Defense market. Experience in driving business at both large Primes/OEMs and small companies is preferred.
  • Very strong relationships within the Aerospace and Defense ecosystem.
  • Proven ability to develop account strategies and lead cross functional teams to transform opportunities into Rambus’ business.
  • Understanding of embedded security IP and high speed interfaces for SoC’s and FPGA’s is a huge plus.
  • Strong negotiating skills and experience.
  • Strong presentation skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.

BSEE, MSEE or MBA is a plus.
