PE Program Management
Rambus is hiring an Engineering Program Manager with hands-on experience in silicon development. You will lead new product programs that are critical to the short-term and long-term success of the business unit. You will collaborate with a diverse, global team that is on a mission to deliver world-class ASSP and ASIC products. Responsibilities
- Lead new IC products through the Product Lifecycle (PLC) from Concept, through Planning, Development, Prototyping and Testing, Pilot Production to release to Mass Production
- Own the “on-time, on-spec, on-budget and with high-quality” delivery of products to customers
- Program planning, schedules, budgeting, risk assessment, resource planning and management, and tracking customer activities associated with the programs
- Track program financial performance as a function of our deliverables and expense profile
- Review, disposition and communicate changes in Scope / Schedule / Budget
- Plan and manage delivery of engineering samples (ES), customer samples (CS) and NPI volume ramp
- Manage customer feedback and work with the team to ensure customer expectations are exceeded
- Track product cost (wafer cost, yield, test time etc.) to ensure product margin requirements are met
- Conduct regular meetings to ensure customers and internal teams are clear on expectations and problem-solving actions are in place to address issues in a timely manner
- Maintain adequate technical depth and managerial skill to address program and product issues
- Be the advocate and champion of your programs and maintain management and key stakeholder alignment
- Own PLC Program Exit Reviews to get management approval for funding and moving the project to the next phase
- Present status of your programs to executive management during monthly program reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelors’ or Masters’ Degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering
- 10+ years of relevant experience in silicon/ASIC design management or program management
- 5 or more years’ experience as a Program Manager, PMP certification is a plus
- SoC/ASIC Architecture, design, implementation, or validation experience
- Technical appreciation of ASIC/ASSP flows (front end and backend development processes, product and test engineering, char and validation, hardware/software design)
- Program management and analytical skills, ability to organize information for internal and external consumption.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Project and other program management tools for use in complex semiconductor programs
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office tools Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Able to motivate and energize teams and lead by influence in a matrixed organization
- Strong communication skills and the ability to keep calm and make progress in high stress situations
- Ability to travel to Rambus sites as well as customer locations as required
